Praise and Prayer....Part II

A miracle happened today. Now, it might not be the kind of miracle that everyone drops their jaw and gets goosebumps over, but it's a miracle, nonetheless. If you read the post from yesterday, you know Karl tested positive for tuberculosis, but it was inactive, meaning he was not contagious, just more susceptible to getting TB if there was ever exposure again. The doctor told Karl when he asked for a retest that it was highly unusual for a second negative test after an initial positive, usually the results were even stronger, but she would order it anyway. Here's the miracle: just recently, the children's pastor's wife tested positive for TB and had a second test run which came out negative. Our doctor was pretty insistent that we just shouldn't think much about all that would be required to get "cleared," but to just go ahead and do it. However, because of what happened to Stacy, Karl was strong about desiring another test......and guess what? The test was NEGATIVE! NO TB! And here we would have gone through nine months of drugs (and possible liver damage--not to mention the expense/time commitment for the monthly tests!) for nothing. Praise the Lord. Thank you to those who prayed already. God sure did answer!

I scooted my "online bootie" over here when I read your comment on my blog. Praise God that Karl's test came back negative! That's such a wonderful answered prayer!

Blessings,

Danielle,
That is such great news! What a whirlwind indeed. I can apprecite the situation....after we had our medical exams and blood work I was told I had very bad diabetes and extremely high cholesteral. My Dr. started talking about drugs and lifestyle, etc. If you new me you would think this is even more crazy...I am a pretty much of a health nut with diet, excersize, supplements, etc. Anyway, I demanded more tests b/c nothing made sense, then I had the lab send me the reports and WALAA.....the "samples" that were analyzed were not mine, a name very close to mine, but not me!!!! Incredible how these things can happen, AND make us appreciate our health even more!

That's sooo cool! Praise God that the doctor retested your husband and the test came back negative.

I love your idea about praying until Nov 15. Guess what? We have members signed up through Nov 12 so we only need two families to sign up! I did a post on the YG (to be viewed soon??) asking if everyone would pray on the 15th. We could each take 30 mins or an hour. Because we are all in different time zones, we could be prayed over non-stop from sun up to sun down. How cool would that be?

Danielle,
I SO enjoyed our time together this afternoon. Thanks for calling me. It was a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stressful week. Let's try to do it again soon!

Hi Danielle! Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. It is so cool to connect with others who are in similar stages of life. I am very surprised to have read your son's "real" name is Braden... so is ours, except it is spelled Bradin. I have never heard of anyone else doing that!! Anyways, I am glad to hear your good news about your husband testing negative for TB. My husband just had his skin test done yesterday and we're waiting to see if he'll start to itch :) God Bless!!!
